One of the growing concerns in our modern world is that health experts tend to believe that the increase in cancer in youngsters is caused by their daily diet and the habit of doing less sports. Although there are certain reasons for this belief, I personally disagree with this opinion. Cancer is a threat to many people but they still can take action to improve their health.
To begin with, I would argue that there are evident environmental factors that lead to cancer. A good example of this is skin cancer in employees who are often exposed to UV light such as a construction worker or people who work in nuclear power stations. Scientists have proved that nuclear has an extremely negative effect on our bodies since it causes a mutation in cells, which is the most common reason for many cancer problems. Furthermore, there are cases in which children are born with cancer from their mothers. Cancer is indeed hereditary so that is the reason why cancer could happen to some people even though they might have a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
With appropriate steps, young people can improve their health gradually. For instance, they should have a medical check regularly to ensure that there are not any potential issues inside their bodies. If there are any problems, their illness can be treated early and thus, prevent subsequent consequences. In addition, they also need to build a healthy lifestyle by adding essential food to their daily meal. For example, vitamin D in sunlight or eggs is considered an important vitamin to improve the immune system. Therefore, people who consume enough vitamin D might tend to be stronger and able to fight against diseases.
In conclusion, diet and lifestyle might not be the cause of cancer because heredity and environmental effects are also considered as main reasons for many situations. However, people should take care of their health by having medical checks and a healthy lifestyle to improve this problem.
