In the current world racism and xenophobia are widespread worldwide and form various of consequences. Many people believe that if racism and xenophobia are not appear when you born we can solve problems which formed by them. I agree with this statement. In my opinion, it is possible to overcome this issue.
Firstly, racism and xenophobia do not appear out of nowhere. In many cases children and teenagers start judging people based on their nationalities because they copy others. For instance, if parents or adults often express negative views or joking about foreigners young people adopt this attitudes. After that, children start to say bad things and bully immigrants even if they have never communicated with them. As a result, that situations create problems and false opinion about foreigners. Another reason is that many people want to assert themselves and boost their self-esteem at the expense of immigrants, as often foreigners feel insure and uncomfortable abroad and they can not protect themselves.
Fortunately, nowadays we have opportunities to overcome racism and xenophobia. The best solution is education. Schools should have lessons about different countries where children will study that in our planet exist a wide diversity of nationalities and we are not allow to judge people for their nationality. Also children who say negative things about foreigners may communicate with other kids from different countries and understand that they are no different from us.
In conclusion, i would like to say that discrimination based on nationality is a significant problem today, however, we are able to overcome it.
