In the cutting-edge technology era, it is believed that the existence of mobile phones can negatively impact social, medical, and technical matters. From my perspective, I do not subscribe to the notion that the users may suffer from these wireless devices’ serious problems rather than enjoy the facilities they bring.
To begin with, it is evident that wireless technology results in a series of severe illnesses. There is a report that there is a rising rate of victims who suffer from being stressed or cannot sleep for a long period of time due to associating with mobile phones most of their daily time. Clearly, there are blue light and radiation released from the screen can cause disadvantageous effects on the individual’s mental health conditions, including lack of sleep. Besides, new generations tend to be not active or more highly vulnerable to bone-related illnesses than their previous ones. For example, to purchase some specific goods, with the “click” on their devices, they can “go shopping” even at home instead of dressing up and commuting to shopping malls in harsh weather. Gradually, doing little exercise makes their physical health status get worse and worse. Furthermore, young age people, whose awareness is not fully completed, may be exposed to various questionable contents, such as pornography and violence. For this kind of children, if their parents do not pay careful attention, they may have the wrong perspective on social issues and unfortunately become contributors to causes increasing the national crime rates.
However, it is undeniable that mobile phones also provide plenty of advantageous benefits to worldwide citizens. Firstly, modern technology significantly enhances efficiency in many fields, especially education. Students, for instance, may use artificially intelligent applications installed on their phones to save time searching for more meaningful ideas for writing assignments or take potential chances to enrich their social knowledge by observing verified materials online. Also, teachers can make use of this technology to find diverse useful sources in order to upgrade their lesson plans. Moreover, there is a high tendency that geographical barriers have been narrowed down due to the advance of wireless technology. I will take my mom’s circumstance as a particular example. My mom has many friends living abroad and in the past, it seemed too hard for them to keep in touch with each other due to the long distance and the considerably high overseas calling fee. Nevertheless, in contemporary society, there are many communicative platforms like Messenger, and Zalo set up, so my mom and her friends freely make phone calls very often without being concerned about any financial problems.
In conclusion, modern mobile phone technology not only has caused some problems but also brought a variety of advantages for mankind. I do believe that if the users professionally balance the merits and the demerits of these devices, mobile phones can be well-appreciated and considered the most meaningful tools for assisting human beings in various ways.
