In contemporary times, CCTV cameras are actively being used in public spaces to monitor from distance. Although it may disrupt the privacy of people, I am prone to believe that the pros of using such technology fairly outweigh all the possible cons of it.
First of all, CCTV digital cameras allow the police to quickly find the rule breakers. Cameras record the area all time, including the night, which means police officers can observe the territory and find trace of offenders by replaying the same saved video. That kind of technology simplifies the work of police workers and improves the quality of their job. In addition, potential offenders would fear making a crime in observing areas. Hence, the сrime rate would significantly decrease in the country and the country dwellers would feel more safe themselves with implementation and widespread usage of CCTV cameras.
Secondly, the purchase and exploitation of CCTV cameras would cost far less than hiring professional guards who is going to protect the territory 24 hours a day. High quality and solid security usually require a lot of money to work, especially if the area is extremely dangerous. But the acquisition of even dozens of cameras would need substantially less money. It means less money is spent on security of citizens for the government.
In conclusion, modern CCTV digital cameras offer numerous advantages, such as reduced crime rate among the nation and reasonable money expenditure of the government’s treasury, for both residents and polity, that certainly eclipse any possible drawbacks.
