Childhood obesity is currently a burning issue. Children lead unhealthy lifestyle, which significantly affects their physical and moral state. I believe that first and foremost the health of a child is the responsibility of his or her parents. However, the government can promote a healthy lifestyle, for example, by showing adverts and providing sports grounds.
Referring to the government’s ability to engage young people in active lifestyle, teachers can provide supplementary lessons on the importance of good nutrition and physical activity. Due to the development of technology, the government can promote a healthy lifestyle in the person of bloggers. In addition, free sports clubs and educational classes on healthy eating can be organised. I believe it will help get kids away from their phone screens and involved in sports.
In contrast, I consider the children’s health to be the parents’ responsibility. Parents should monitor the child’s nutrition and activities. To cope with the problem of overeating among children, adults can make dietary changes. For example, cook more vegetables and meat, replace sweets with fruits, and give children nuts and healthy yoghurts as snacks. In the evening, instead of watching TV, families can go out for walks. This will not only help to bring families together, but it also be a great physical activity before bedtime. If parents lead an active lifestyle, children will follow their example and thereby avoid weight and health problems.
In conclusion, I feel that health promotion should come from both parents and the state.
