In developing countries, enormous building projects are massively financed and looked after by private companies rather than governments. I fully support that this is a positive development because it reduces the financial burden from authorities and the issue of maintenance is dealt better in this way.
Firstly, the governments got limited funding to back up such massive projects and lack resources. Because they have to spend their funds in other sectors such as, healthcare and education. On the other hand, the private companies look into these projects as an investor and a potential gain opportunity. While some organizations do this as an act of charity which contributes towards the nations interest. As a result, the particular purpose of investment or donation from the companies decreases the financial pressure from governments.
Consequently, management of these infrastructural projects is also a big challenge for the governments. The private shareholders can easily overcome this as they have more funding and vast resources. For instance, the companies put funding in place and have dedicated teams for maintenance purposes. These teams perform their duties by maintaining the standards, taking necessary measures and making timely repairs. As a result, the better management makes these projects safer and long lasting.
In conclusion, big infrastructure project backed by the private companies turns out to be beneficial for the public and the governments both. Also, the companies account for the management issues from the start and they plan ahead for the possible solutions. Hence, proving that its a positive development.
