nowadays many elderly ppl no longer looked after their families. this situation becoming more common in modern society. and then I discuss about advantages and disadvantages of this trend.
firstly one of main advantages of care homes professional medical care, many elderly ppl often need regular treatment. in care home doctors can make their life safer. as result older ppl can feel safety than living alone at home. in care homes elderly ppl can talk to other. they are not completely alone and can make friends. so they can feel more emotionally supported and less isolated. staff can make their life easier bc they don’t need worry about cooking and cleaning. in general staff do better quality of life. also they can help with daily activities. but that “trend” has also disadvantages. the most popular problem – loneliness. many elderly ppl feels unhappy bc their no lives with their families. they feels depressed and less loved. this all can negative effect on their mental health. also care homes are often expensive. not all families can afford this type of care. some care homes has strict rules bc of this they can feel less freedom. this can make feel controlled and uncomfortable.
In this way care homes has pros and cons. ofc they can give professional help, safety but also make lonely them. this situation becoming more common in many countries. This trend likely to continue in the future bc families are very busy today. in my opinion families should have contact and support their grandparents even they lives in care house
