Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Imported food has become increasingly popular in many countries rather than locally produced food. This essay will discuss the main reasons for this trend.

To begin with, many people choose to buy imported food because it offers a wider variety of goods. Since, people go to the supermarket or choose an online shop, they want to buy many varieties of food. Many global companies which produce food have a better level of advertising they can sell to buyers than locally made products. In contrast, if people want to eat candies they should choose one product, for example candies which are produced in their country or imported candies. A large number of consumers choose imported foods even if they are experienced. As a result, many local food companies should provide a variety of foods which citizens or other countries can buy and also develop their awareness companies such as Nesquik or Coca Cola.

Furthermore, many entrepreneurs in developed nations need government support. For instance, countries such as Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan already manufacture food, but farmers and business people need support from governments such as help with budget or training which helps business people how to do local business. If the government gives good chances to provide for their local businesses, their economy will also grow. It is beneficial for them. As a result, this creates a win-win situation where strong local businesses boost the national economy, create new jobs, and secure the food supply.

To sum up, the government should understand that for their local business people they also boost the economy and many people start to choose domestic products which have high quality.
