It is said that, nowadays consumers have an opportunity to obtain various products from different parts of the world in their local supermarkets. In this essay, i will discuss both positive and negative sides of this statement, and provide my own point of view.
To begin with, having the ability to purchase international products at the local grocery store offers significant advantages. Firstly, it provides an excellent opportunity to explore numerous cuisine of other countries. In other words, access to essential ingredients for foreign dishes allows people to experiment with new recipes. Secondly, it benefits farmers in developing nations by ensuring they receive recognition and fair profit amount for their hard work. Exporting goods to other countries is undoubtedly a rewarding and efficient accomplishment for producers.
However, this development also has some drawbacks. Firstly, transporting these numerous products across long distanced places, significantly affect the environment in a very negative way, as it leads to a high Carbon Dioxide emissions along with the other negative gases, which is far from eco-friendly environment. Additionally, importing a wide variety of food items from different regions with varying hygiene standards can pose a risk to public health, as ensuring strict quality control may be pretty challenging.
To conclude, the availability of international food in local supermarkets has both advantages and disadvantages. While it can contribute to air pollution and the risk of spoiled or unhealthy products, I believe it is ultimately a beneficial development. As It not only supports farmers economically but also allows people from diverse regions to experience and enjoy new foreign cuisines.
