Ageing population is a common phenomonon in many countries, especially developed countries. I would argue that the overall advantages of this trend doesn’t outweigh the disadvantages since the ageing population might leads to some society problems.
One of a common problems of the aging society is the overwhelming elderlys who live alone. Statistics demonstrate that landlords are unwilling to renting houses to those people. Typically, these old people couldn’t provide their economic prove, which also means that they might be unable to pay off their rent on time. Moreover, there is a more serious issue that if they pass away in the house, that of the economic value drops immediately and severely.
There is often a direct connection between the aging population and the definition of a developed countries. Once the countries become rich, people are less willing to get a child for the purpose of preventing the pain of pregnancy. It leads to an aging society eventually. While I feel appreciated about the contributions from the older generation, I couldn’t deny the problems caused by the ageing population as well. As the elderlys occupied the most population of the countries, it might be rather difficult to create economic growths. It is attributed to older people couldn’t work as young and middle aged people.
In conclusion, I argue that the advantages of the ageing population doesn’t outweigh the disadvantages since it cause several society problems like housing problems. However, it is crucial that the younger generation takes good care of them and be respectful and grateful of their dedications to the countries when they were young.
