The authority in several nations expenses a large amount of money on the field of arts. Although some people agree with this, the others prefer the governing body to raise the expenditure on healthcare and education. In my own view, the government should invest in medical care and schooling.
On one hand, the authority can make profits from arts. Spending national budget on artworks may encourage the conservation of cultural heritage, attracting foreign tourists and investment simultaneously. Furthermore, this emphasizes people’s national spirits. Through concerts and exhibitions, people can probably acknowledge either their national value or another culture, history. This consequently not only boosts the income but also preserve nation’s custom and cultural value.
On the other hand, medical services and education play a crucial role of a country’s development. As, these are basic needs of residents life-quality, which affects inhabitants’ well-being and educational level. Improve medical services may prevent diseases and advance the illness treatment and lead to longer lifespan and decline the mortality rates. According to schooling, the high expenditure can be result in inventions of advanced technology in teaching and studying. Hence, this can offer people an opportunity to study in a modern environment and experience the flexibility of online learning.
In conclusion, there are several criteria to consider which the governing body should provide financial support to. Even though arts can do better in financial profits, I still believe education and healthcare are better fields for nation’s evolvement.
