With bicycles falling out of primary transportation, it is due to the lack of outdoor places for cycling and individuals’ tendency to get their work or study earlier. In my opinion, governments should invest more on bicycle places, and encourage people to cycle more.
On of the reasons why bicycles are becoming out of usage is that there is no suitable places to ride a bike, as having crowded transport systems and people everywhere. It is dangerous to ride a bicycle on the main road because of vehicles, leading to a serious road accident. In order to prevent those problems, governments should focus on sport places like marathon yards or paths for bikes. As a result, people can go to their work safely by bicycle rather than cars while appropriate for decreasing environmental degradation caused by cars.
Another reason for that is everyone wants to get their work on time. So, today one family has at least one car and this prevents family members from using bicycles even for a short distance. They go everywhere by their cars, causing traffic jams in the city. In order to overcome those problems, government should limit the number of cars for one family and make marathons to make people interest in cycling. As a result, people begin using bikes for their daily lives and they take part in marathons to improve their well-being.
To conclude, despite the decline in bicycle use, I believe practical solutions such as encouraging people to cycle more, and investing money on places that are suitable for cycling would be beneficial for both environment and people’s health.
