Lately, prioritizing practical skills has drawn attention. People now prefer vocational training over traditional academic education. But which one is better for the development and future opportunities? In this essay both views will be discussed .
First of all, many argue that vocational training is better in providing future opportunities, since learning practical skills will prepare the individual for the real world. Learning the requirements at an early age, is an advantage for the person in the job market but the intellectual development is limited. Also the average time spent learning a practical skill is generally shorter than the time spent obtaining a degree.
On the other hand, traditional education will always remain and still the better option. Since there are no limitations in progression, the student will have endless job opportunities in the future, and a better reputation in the daily social life. But it requires a lot of time and effort being invested in.
I think that the traditional education path is the better and the safest option in future success, but this path is the longer and the harder one compared to vocational training. Also when comparing salaries, the highest paying jobs demand educational degrees.
In conclusion, choosing either of the two options depends on the individual. Since every one of these paths have different advantages.
