Nowadays, in many societies, there is a raising trend about practical skills and vocational training over traditional academic education. Some believe that practical skills are more important for economic, while other think that if it will be a lot of practice there will not be enough place for academic knowledge. My opinion, that it’s great that practical skills becoming more reasonable, but I think it must be balance between practice and educating.
On the one side, practical skills play significant role in our lives, they will help you not only understand, but try. When you try to reach the job, practical skills are as important as knowledge. And it’s clear, that now childrens don’t have enough practice.
On the other side, knowledge is base of all, you can’t practice if you don’t have enough theory. And when you study, you improving all your sides: critical thinking, memory, knowledge and other. So without any knowledge you can’t do anything.
In conclusion, I think, that practice and knowledge are both important for us, and it’s bad if you have not enough practice or knowledge. So you need to find balance between them, but not skipping one of them. Maybe, try to combine them by, for example school for knowledge and small work, of course if you only children.
