Nowadays in many countries parents can send their children to single-sex schools or mixed-sex schools and some people argue that single-sex schools have a negative impact on children and their future lives. This essay agrees that co-educational schools are more beneficial for children than single-sex schools because kids learn how to communicate with the opposite gender and reduce stereotypes and discrimination.
Firstly, co-educational schools prepare children for real life because society consists of both males and females. By studying together students learn how to communicate effectively and cooperate with children of different sex and successfully build relationships. These skills are vital in adult ages. For example, in universities and workplaces they anyway will become a part of society which includes both genders. Furthermore, these communication skills adapt students to multicultural environments and successful work in future.
Secondly, children who study in both-gender schools learn how to understand and respect, sometimes be patient, people of opposite sexual gender. As the result, they are less under influence of stereotypes. They see the reality and the difference in behaviors between two individuals of the same gender, that leads to understanding that all people are not equal. For example, two girls or boys can act absolutely different and so it allows them to understand the difference of one another.
Overall, co-educational schools prepare children for future lives and careers where they will face both genders. In addition, it helps to grow individuals who understand the difference between people and decrease the number of stereotypes.
