Band 6+: In many countries today, parents are able to choose to send their children to single-sex schools or co-educational schools. Some people think that children going to single-sex schools have disadvantages later In lite. To what extent do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, most parents have the option of sending their sons or daughters to specific gender schools and coeducational institutions. There are those who argue that children going to certain sex schools have a bad impact on the rest of their lives. This essay will agree with the idea that children cannot achieve communication skills and would not avoid their hesitations and understanding in single-sex institutions.

It is often claimed that students in coeducational schools can attract students of the opposite gender, which is generally true during their school time, so it may have a serious impact on studying because they could lose their concentration. Moreover, they would feel shy in the classroom since presenting the opposite gender is available there. For instance, a girl could feel shy about saying anything in the class due to the boys present in this place.

Although these difficulties can be faced, children can improve their communication skills or remove their hesitation, which is significantly needed while they do communicate with the opposition because they are used to talking with the opposite gender. If every parent sends their child to only single-sex schools, their children will suffer later in life since they will not ameliorate their communication capabilities and will not avoid hesitation. To illustrate, when they get married, they won’t understand their partners and cannot communicate properly. As a result, their lives could be full of depression, which causes mental stress because of those deficiencies.

In conclusion, individuals argue that parents are capable of preferring to send their children to single-sex institutions. However, I firmly believe that children should be sent to coeducational schools by their parents; otherwise, they could face difficulties with their communication proficiency skills and understanding abilities towards the opposite gender.
