In the present era, children are chosen to be sent to multi-sex schools by their parents which has numerous advantages and has sparked much debate. Some people assert that sending children to single-sex schools has significant disadvantages in the future. Personally, I am in favor of the latter view.
Convincing arguments can be made that mixed schools provide a more comprehensive learning environment to children. To start with, children sent to co-education schools will gain exposure to different types of mindsets and thought processes, and they have more chances to communicate with the opposite sex members. In other words, students must start talking to opposite-sex members at an early age, so that they get more comfortable in the future without facing any issues; therefore, their communication and social skills can be boosted. Moreover, Mixed schools teach children about gender bias and how to face situations with the opposite sex, which strengthens student confidence in complex situations. For example, when a boy has a conflict with a girl at school, both of them should learn how to sort the problem between them. This situation must be experienced by every student including all genders in the school.
Admittedly, single-sex schools have significant disadvantages later in life. The reason for this is if a school has only either boys or girls they get more comfortable talking with the same sex, whereas in the future it gets difficult to start a conversation with the opposite sex. Even so, students cannot develop how to deal with difficult situations with females, which may cause discomfort to them.
In summary, I conclude that single-sex schools have great drawbacks later in life. Despite that, sending children to mixed schools is good over single-sex schools. Overall, I am convinced that students must be sent to co-educated schools.
