Nowadays, in many countries, many teenagers prefer to go shopping in the center or the mini mall rather than doing other activities like playing sports or music. This essay agrees that this is a negative development. This essay will discuss both points of view.
This action significantly affects the economy. The popularity of shopping among young people is causing economic circulation. It causes economic growth since many more people buy products in the system, and when there are more sales, the owner will expand their branches. More shopping centers will be built to accommodate the expansion. This will help the country effectively grow forward in the future.
On the other hand, in terms of other aspects, going shopping instead of doing other activities deprives them of interaction with other people. For example, a lack of socialization among their friends who are involved in sports activities or playing music, including a lack of exercise or not exercising enough, will cause their health to deteriorate in the future. Moreover, this causes them to waste time shopping instead of developing their potential or abilities. All these affect the long term and create an ineffective new working generation.
From my point of view, this is a negative development, even though the economy is growing quickly. In the long term, the disadvantages of this outweigh the advantages.
In conclusion, shopping habits among young people dramatically cause economic growth; however, shopping is not a good choice to do organized activities instead.
