Nowadays, the plethora of people would agree that preserving connections with our past is an essential necessity, especially as the world is altering so rapidly. From my perspective, traditional costumes are one part of our doing this, but they are by no means the most important, as this essay will elucidate it.
Admittedly, historic dress plays a key role in social events such as religious rituals and military parades, and these events are helpful in improving the cohesions of the citizens. For instance, Kazakh culture dress has an invaluable influence on the development of the country’s proud, therefore, it leads to the desire and willingness to work for the good of the country.
There are a plenty of other ways which aid individuals to attach with a nation’s former times. In comparison with national costumes, assimilating history, honoring ancient relics, visiting museums, and sharpening broadcasts by telling stories are more powerful methods of collaborating to the roots of one’s culture. For example, storytelling is a universal tradition that has existed for centuries and is an integral part of many cultures around the world. It encompasses myths, legends, fables, religion, prayers, proverbs, and instructions. Native Nawaiian stories are example of storytelling tradition that intended to preserve the tribe’s history and educate the young.
To conclude, although traditional costumes are an essential component of every culture in the world that represents a reflection of its heritage, it possesses only secondary importance when it comes to preserving links to the past. History, stories and festivals themselves embody a sense of belonging to their ancestors.
