Some individuals argue that students who study at universities should spend their time only on studying, while other people think they should combine work with study. Even though both of these views have pros and cons, I strongly believe that students should know how to manage time effectively with study and work. This essay will discuss two options.
The main reason why I am for part-time work for students is to learn how to balance working and studying together. First of all, without the ability to manage work effectively, you may struggle in the future, because having financial independence is a way to achieve your goals. Secondly, developing practical skills is obviously a significant way to grow up. Thirdly, gaining work experience is vital to get the experience. For example, nowadays, there are a lot of people who are financially independent from their parents. As a result, they can rely on their own skills.
On the other hand, a lot of people think that focusing only on studying has more advantages. If you study hard, you will improve your academic performance. Also, with a mix of study and work, you can get emotional burnout, which is harmful for mental health. Despite these pros, I personally find these arguments more convincing, because the most important way to get more is to overcome difficulties.
In conclusion, although prioritizing academics has benefits, determination to combine work and studies can give you more in comparison with the first option.
