In today’s contemporary world it is common among young population to rely too much on their parents. However, because of this trend some serious problems such as lack of independence of young people and unnecessary burden on parents may occur. In order to tackle these issues governments should launch campaigns that help individuals with acquiring basic knowledge, meanwhile, parents may teach their children how to live independently.
To begin with, the more teenagers depend on their parents, the harder it will be to build a fullfiled life without their support. It happens because children used to rely on older persons, thus, they do not have crucial skills such as cooking or cleaning, which might complicate their lives in the future. Therefore, governments should create some programs that encourage and teach young citizens to do home chores or daily routines by themselves, giving them more space to grow as independent people.
Secondly, if children leave almost every task on parent’s shoulders, it will create an unnecessary burden to them. Rarely do young individuals realize that their parents already have a plethora of important responsibilities to deal with, so giving them another portion of extra tasks may result in physical or mental health problems. Subsequently, it is vital to parents to familiarize their children with the importance of handling tasks without anyone’s help and teach them how to do it.
In conclusion, heavy dependence of young population on their parents or other guardians might cause a diverse range of problems, for instance gradual decrease of independence in the future and new difficulties to the parents may arise. For these reasons, both parents and governments should take actions to solve these issues by lauching some programs and teaching children how to do things alone.
