Presently, in many cutting-edge communities, the strong relationship and interaction between grandchildren and grandparents is eroding. This essay will discuss how the diminishing bonding between grandfolk and grandkids leads to feelings of loneliness and decreases traditional activities. I strongly believe that this phenomenon can have an adverse impact on both sides because it leads to mental stress and the loss of creative endeavours.
It is often argued that ending the senior generation’s and junior generation’s bonding contributes to a sense of isolation. This is because when both sides have a better bond, it creates a feeling of enjoyment, but without strong bonding, they feel loneliness. For example, grandparents share their life experiences and stories with grandchildren, which leads to enjoyment and happiness; however, eroding relationships due to modernization bring isolation to both parties. As a consequence, feeling isolated can have an adverse impact on their mental health, which is harmful for them.
Moreover, it is often thought that this trend influences the loss of cultural programmes and activities. Elderly people are more aware of cultural heritage, which is why if they do not share these activities with younger ones, creative endeavours would disappear from society, as offspring have insufficient ideas regarding their traditional events. To illustrate, numerous traditional functions and festivals disappeared, not only for modernization but also for a lack of connection between elderly individuals and younger generations. Therefore, diminishing partnerships between both individuals can disappear from cultural programmes and events, which is a negative effect for modern society.
In conclusion, grandparents’s and grandchildren’s connections are declining because of modernised society. I strongly believe that this phenomenon can have a deleterious impact on both parties health because they feel isolated, and it declines traditional activities as well.
