In numerous pioneer communities, grandchildren rarely engage any quality time with their grandparents. Overall, I am of the view that old people consider as conserver who conserve traditions, custom and culture by passing from one generation to another younger generation. So, ignorance of grandchildren may lead to the expire of traditions and customs.
Our traditions, cultures are preserved by our attic ancestors. Such traditions actively are passed from grandparents to their grandchildren. If children don’t spend time with their grandparents, then they lack the knowledge about our origin. Grandparents tell about our culture by the mean of stories, songs and other. When one children stay around the old people, they can imitate such activities. Memory they can know about our custom and tradition and value them in their lives.
If our traditions dies, then our presence identity also die. It can be saved by putting a kind tradition by one generation to another. So, grandchildren should spend some time with their grandfather and mother.
Secondly, aged people have wider range of experience in every field. They know about every issues which may arrive in the life. Children can learn from the experience of old people. From grandparents can teach them how to distinguish good thing and right thing. They can educated them how to spend a time. Grandparents had obtain various downfalls in their life and over overcome all those downfalls too. So, children learn that those downfalls are the way to make our life interesting through various challenges. So, when grandchildren spend times with grandparents, they know about the importance of the life.
In conclusion, spending quality time with grandparents helps to preserve our traditions and cultures. Similarly, grandchildren can learn new things from the experience, knowledge of grandparents.
