Some people believe that governments should spend more money on social problems such as Poverty, homelessness and food insecurity, while others think space exploration provides more important benefits. From my perspective, government should give more priority to problems on Earth. This essay will discuss both views.
There is no denying that, spending more money on social issues can improve people’s lives directly. Many families still do not have enough food, housing or access to basic services. Government can use more funding to support low-income families and provide affordable housing, food, and better health care. During the COVID-19, many people lost their jobs. and needed financial support from goverment. This shows that public funding is crucial When people face serious economic difficulties. So, solving social problems should be a major priority.
In contrast to this, space exploration also provides useful benefits. Research in space has help develop technology that people use in daily lives. One important benefit is Satellite technology, it supports GPS, communication and weather forecasting. It can also help people observe storms, floods and other natural disasters. This information can give communities more time to prepare and may reduce damage. As a result, investment in space research can have a positive impact in the long term.
To sum up, both areas can benefit society. However, I believe government Poverty and homelessness should spend more money on social issues because problems such as affect people directly, and it is more essential than space exploration.
