In many urban areas, an increase in air pollution is becoming an important issue. There are some causes and effects related to this problem that will be discussed now.
There are two causes related to air pollution. Firstly, the main issue comes from the act of humans. Due to the fact that, many individuals do not realize that simple actions, such as excessive use of private vehicles or improper waste disposal. They almost concentrate on self-serving things and ignore the air pollution. To give an illustration, in Vietnam, there are a lot of private vehicles, leading to a high pollution rate. Secondly, nature is one of the main causes of air pollution. Because the Earth has undergone significant changes in terms of temperature and the environment, natural disasters will happen such as volcanic eruptions, wildfires, dust storms, natural decay, this results in air pollution too much by the emission from natural disaster. A case in point is in Indonesia, there are a lot of volcanoes, making this country one of the most polluted air in the world.
Regarding the effects of this issue, the first one is having an influence on human health. Because of the high level of air pollution, humans will breathe the emission, leading to cardiovascular problems, respiratory diseases. As an illustration, in cities like New Delhi, chronic exposure to high pollution levels has led to a rise in cases of lung cancer in humans. The second one has a significant impact on climate. Air pollution produces emissions such as Co2, NO3, and So2 that are causing global warming due to increased greenhouse gases, melting polar ice caps and rising sea levels.
In conclusion, in many urban areas, an increase in air pollution is becoming an important issue. There are some causes that come from the act of humans and nature is one of the main causes. Leading to detrimental effects to human health and climate.
