People have different views about whether parents should attend childcare courses. While in some ways it may seem reasonable to provide courses for parents, I agree with those who believe that parents’ own experiences can play an important role.
On the one hand, there are various reasons why it might be beneficial to attend courses. Firstly, parents can learn effective ways to communicate with their children. These courses teach them how to deal with behavioural problems. As a result, parents try to avoid punishing their children and putting their children under unnecessary pressure. Secondly, people can learn about their children’s emotional and psychological development. If they can understand their children better, their children may not feel lonely when they encounter challenges related to financial difficulties or making friends.
On the other hand, parenting skills can come from parents’ own experiences. Every child is different. Therefore, general courses cannot work for every family. If children cannot adapt to these methods, there may be some conflicts between parents and children. Moreover, attending courses can cause time and financial barriers. People may not find enough time for their children because of work hours, courses, and leisure activities. Consequently, traditional cultures may gradually disappear.
In conclusion, although there are some advantages of courses, such as learning how to communicate and finding solutions to behavioural issues, I completely believe that parents should rely on their own experiences.
