In contemporary time, it seems like earning money is easier than it was before. By using social media, you can exploit public sympathy thereby using media as a key to a great wealth. There is a growing dillemma, which had been viral in recent years: To defraud people of their money. Clearly, I agree with this statement as drawbacks are outweighing possible advantages.
Inherently, it is easy to convince grassroots using their compassion as a tool. There are many cunning influencers who become outrageously rich in a short period of time, through telling people that they are “poor” and they are “on the botton of debts”. Since, there is nobody who can confirm whether that is true or not, the number of cunning individuals are increasing. For instance, there is viral women who had been claiming to media, that she is orphan, works on several jobs, has enormous debts and nursing his ill grandfather. When she already had more than 100k followers, her younger sister posted a video, with admit, that it is all scam. It turned out that, she is deliberately had lived in that appaling appartment to show how poor she was, and she was not suffering financially.
It cannot be denied that, there are plenty of needed people who are inherently need money. However, considering the fact that, there no hurdles to halt this trick, it may lead to massive disinformation in the future and defraudation people of their money. I believe that, content moderators must to make measured approach, in order to obey scammers to mandatory regulations, as it is completely unacceptable to not have striking balance.
To sum up, the contentious issue of obtaining money through fraud is no longer should be ignored. As it is easy to persuade society pretending poor or ill, cybersecurity must implement safeguards immediately.
