Band 7+: In recent years sports stars have become increasingly famous and wealthy. For some this is a benefit, raising the profile of sports, but for others it is a negative influence. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In recent years, sports stars achieved celebrity status and earned extremely high incomes. As a result, there are two main groups of people with different opinions. One group believes that this trend benefits sports by supporting its development and increasing its popularity, while the other argue that it has a negative impact on society. I strongly believe that, despite certain drawbacks, this phenomenon brings more benefits than harm to society.

On the one hand, some people believe that excessive fame and wealth of sports stars can lead to negative effects, especially young people . Certain athletes are widely shown in the media. As a result, teenagers may copy their bad habits or develop the belief that success in life depends only on money and popularity. Moreover, the extremely high salaries of sports stars are often considered unfair when compared to those of teachers, doctors and other crucial professionals.

On the other hand, other individuals believe that famous and successful sports stars can positively influence society. Their popularity attracts attention to sporting events, encourages investment and helps develop sports infrastructure. Moreover, many athletes serve as role models for children and teenagers, motivating them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. In addition, they inspire young people to develop their skills in sports and work hard to achieve their goals.

In conclusion, while the fame and wealth of sports stars can create some issues, I firmly believe that their influence is more positive than negative, especially when they use their public status responsibly and set a good example for society.
