Nowadays, society’s attention is paid to the relationship between equality and self success. This question is very controversial and each side has its own gaps. Within every position there are vivid perspectives for the future of egalitarian society.
To start with, an egalitarian society is perfect for building an equal economy for the global market. Where individuals have a chance to boost their personal opportunities besides their origin and country situation. Meanwhile, their chances to find a better place would be higher. Also it can lower the rate of unemployment and crime. Another factor to consider is increasing import and export, due to the cancelled hierarchy between countries and more occasions for globalization. At the same time, equality could decrease the motivation of labour, as it was in the USSR.
On the other hand, the possibility of a high level of personal achievements only in terms of failure or success according to individual merits. It means that some people need rivalry to motivate themselves. Also it may grow the potential of the national economy system, because all affords would stay in the country’s field. For instance, in South Korea, competitive education emphasizes achievement and leads to higher level of self education among the population. It makes Korea one of the biggest leaders in innovations and technologies.
To sum up, the idea of egalitarian societies is the best way for developed countries, where the economy is stable enough to hold the risks of groundless redistribution of wealth and resources. The source of personal achievements need to be studied more to make that resistant decision.
