As a result of many new technologies, global trade has increased rapidly in last few years, through different mediums. It is believed by many people that increased interaction followed by globalization is a good thing as it provides an opportunity for cultural exchange, and employment opportunities. However, with such practices, environmental damage is inevitable but can be overlooked by their advantages.
Global exchange of trade provides a wide opportunity of employment as a broker is needed in both sides of the country and also helps in cultural exchange as people from different cultural backgrounds come along in such business practices. For instance, a multibillion company Apple produces different range of gadgets and transport it to every part of the world via different exchange medium. Such large-scale production comes with a need to hire their officials in different countries, which provides an individual of such particular nation with job and the exchange of cultural beliefs, even if it is through language or habitual practices.
On the other hand, trading globally hampers the environment as operating modern technologies causes a lot of pressure on environment. For example, when trade through sea, air or a bus is done the fuel used by them extracts harmful substances which gets released onto the environment. There have been number of cases when oil leakage from cargo ships affected water ecosystem, airplanes engines failures caused pollutions, which directly affected the ecosystem.
In conclusion, the increased globalization has both positive and negative aspects, which can be handled with the right business tactics. As a whole, the positive impacts of global trades outweighs it’s negative impacts.
