In some nations, the majority of people who commit illegal activities are the juveniles. The major reason for this is a smaller number of schools and to solve this problem, government should incorporate some strict rehabilitation centers.
On the one hand, criminal activities by teenagers are high in those nations where there are few schools or educational institutions. Schools play an important role to help students distinguish between positive and negative and keep them isolated from illegal organisations. Moreover, crime rate among teenagers is inversely proportional to the number of schools because when they attend schools, they do not have leisure times for other things because of their assignment and home works. This engages them and avoid bad companies. For instance, when youngsters do not visit school to study and spend most of their times gambling and taking drugs, these addictions become the reasons for the birth of other crimes such as robbery and murder, as they have to support them financially to continue their gamble.
However, rehabilitation center can help to reduce the emerging number of crimes by younger people because the teenagers do not deserve high punishment like that of matured adults. Therefore, these can be preferred as their aim is to discourage young from committing crimes and encourage to maintain peace and discipline rather than torturing them. What this does is broadens the intellect of the young people. Moreover, these institutions make young people involve in certain tasks that, when they are released from rehabilitations, these activities become their part of life and start doing some true engaging works. These activities mostly include physical activities and reading books.
In conclusion, lack of educational institutions is the main reason for increment of illegal activities. So, to reduce these in short period of time, rehabilitation centers should be given more priority than prison as they are friendly to younger generations the jails, which are strict in nature.
