These days, that many students who study in the university choose to live in their country or go to another place for study is a great concern of individuals. Although there are some certain downsides of living far from their country, I believe that the upsides are more significant.
To begin with, there are some disadvantages of commuting to other cities for study. Firstly, moving to another place will take more money than living with their family. Because of the subsistence, they have to pay more money, such as the rent and the food cost, which leads to financial burden for families with low income and also puts pressure on that person. In addition, if the individuals move to another city, they have to live far from their family and friends, which results the feelings homesickness and loneliness. For example, when the students do not have enough time to contact their parents or friends, the relationships also become worse due to that factor.
On the other hand, there are more benefits of living far away. First of all, if students lived without parents’s care, they would be more independent. Living alone in a strange place could affect these students as they can learn to navigate life’s challenges independently and divide the money reasonably for a sustainable quality of life. Another advantage is that moving to other places which are more modern with the development of many facilities will offer some opportunities for them to develop their own creativity and improve their academic performances. Hence, they will get jobs more easily with good degrees.
In conclusion, there are some drawbacks of living far from family, but the positives of going to other cities still far outweigh the negatives.
