In a contemporary society, with the development of modernization and industrialization, many people in a certain country have a tendency to enquire about the origins of their own family. Personally, there are a number of reasons why this trend happens and I believe that it is a negative development.
To begin with, there are numerous reasons why individuals are interested in discovering their family’s background. The primary reason is that some people are curious about the roles and success of ancestors in history. For example, it is extremely interesting and surprising that humans find out their ancestors who was once a member of the royal family. Accordingly, studying this kind of information, people will feel proud of their origins. Moreover, in term of the medical aspects, individuals can be provided with the health-related information of relatives to prevent the genetic diseases. For instance, many households would be aware of any illness that they inherit from their relatives.
However, this current trend has its drawbacks for every certain circumstance. Firstly, it is unfair for candidates with unlucky family information because they cannot decide where they are born. By the way of illustration, a person with an elevated background may become arrogant while someone who is descended from a criminal family might be lose his confidence. Secondly, it consumes a substantial amount of time. Obviously, researchers have to go through a long process of collecting and analyzing data of their relationships, which is inconvenient in a modern society with hectic schedules.
In conclusion, the outstanding phenomenon mentioned above has outlined many reasons about this statement. In my point of view, I think that this matter brings about more disadvantage development than benefit one.
