Answer:

Historic festivals and celebrations play a vital role in the development of a society. In certain areas of the globe, these events are losing the popularity and the charm that they used to have. This essay will discuss the problems associated with this trend and the solutions to address them.

There are several negative consequences associated with the above-mentioned development. To begin with, the individuals and businesses that depend upon these events for their livelihood are getting unemployed. For instance, many entrepreneurs only manufacture and sell products that are used during Diwali and if Diwali starts losing its importance, these people will struggle for survival. Moreover, the younger generation is getting disconnected from its culture and social norms. These celebrations exist to pass on cultural values and ethics to the youngsters and as they are not getting celebrated enough, the kids are getting unaware of their own values. Hence, these celebrations should continue to exist for the greater good of the society.

There are different solutions to address this issue. Firstly, the government should invest money and resources to make sure that the cultural festivals and celebrations continue to exist with modern quality. This way, the youth will be motivated to attend these sessions and have a good experience there leading to the livelihood of the organizers intact. Secondly, technologies like Internet and Social Media should be used to promote these festivals at scale. For example, influencer marketing and digital marketing should be used to make the youth aware of these events and inspire them to attend them. These steps can help revive the prominence of the traditional festivities.

To conclude, this essay has discussed the problems and solutions associated with the decline of traditional cultural celebrations. The government should intervene and use social media to promote them to the public.
