In some developed countries, the ratio of children opting for science subject of higher secondary or secondary schools is decreasing. This can severely affect the child’s future and their country too. Several steps can be taken to encourage the child to study science.
The effect of not choosing science subject can lead to country’s affection like there will be no engineers or scientist in the nation. The particular country will have to depend on other nations for future development. There will be lack of opportunities, growth, and employment for the population. The situation is not only affecting country but also child’s future as well. There will be no career options in technology, no development will take place due to which society will be having more negative beliefs and it will create superstitions.
There are several steps which can be initiated to encourage the children to opt for science subject. Firstly, the subject should be introduced to children in a practical way rather than theoretical way which help them to learn more with motivation. Secondly, students should be provided with an option of selecting field, whatever they want to study they can select, this will create enthusiasm among the students and they will try to learn new things with interest.
In conclusion, not selecting science as a subject can affect both country and students’ future as well. Nevertheless, giving more importance and priority to practical learning rather than theoretical will create more interest and as well as changing the approach of teaching will help to increase the interest of students as well.
