In the future, people will be able to read everything on the internet for free without having to purchase newspapers or books. I disagree with this statement because organizations like Kindle, would charge for subscriptions and their recurring revenue would go for paying expenses. However, using ebook would benefit people who travel because it’s convenient to go around places without carrying the weight of physical books.
Not all companies offer free online reading, and therefore, they charge a subscription fee. The reason behind this is that the subscription fee generates recurring revenue, which will help with the company’s expenses. For example; Kindle offers monthly and yearly subscriptions to their readers after given 7-days of trials. The earnings are then used to pay for their company’s expenses including bills, facilities and employee’s wages.
On the other hand, there are advantages for travellers who use ebooks. They are hassle free for them without having to carry extra weight on their backpacks or handbags while walking. Thus, readers do not have to worry about leaving their novels book everywhere. For instance, travellers use apps like Kindle or Apple Books to load multiple ebooks onto their devices. They can go on long flights without the heaviness of physical books and it is worry-free because the ebooks are stored in their phones or tablets.
In conclusion, some organizations will still charge an amount of subscription fees to help clear their expenses while some will provide free reading. Whereas, people who loves novels while travelling will enjoy the benefits of online reading.
