It is possible that in the future, maybe a century later, mankind will have to settle in other planets. Personally, I wholeheartedly agree that money, due to various severe issues occurring on earth which can eventually lead to the end of the planet earth, is therefore required to spend on space exploration, finding new homes for humanity.
First and foremost, in recent years, it is undeniable that earth has experienced an enormous number of horrific events, and most of them, the scientists said, are seen as the principal reasons contributing to the end of the world. Various problems stem from undesirable actions of humans which directly have a worrying impact on earth. Climate change, for instance, is a term referring to the variations of climate, leading to the melting ice in the north pole. This circumstance is likely to be a main contributor for reducing life expectancy of the planet earth, and there is a high probability that it cannot be tackled. Accordingly, it is a need to allow the authorities to use money for researching new homes in order to continue the existence of humans.
In addition to this, as space is tremendous, the existence of alien species is possible. A need for money to research for the possible invasion is thus required. Although, with the current information, there is no sign for other living species on other planets, it is necessary to explore because the alien species might attack humans and occupy the earth, leading to lack of habitats of humanity. Moreover, the growing population of humans has shown that, in the near future, housing will be inadequate; however, various research mentions that there are some planets which resemble earth, such as Mars, and humans can live there if more and more research is conducted, proving that those places are actually safe.
In the light of these facts, I agree that more money should be allocated for space exploration due to environmental issues, possible invasion, and increasing population. Doubtlessly, these serious problems are contributors for earth to reach its end or for humans to become extinct.
