It is said that in the contemporary world, the visual ways of communication are becoming more effective than the written word. I totally agree with this line of thought. This essay will provide reasonable arguments for my perspective and a contrary view that others might have in society.
To begin with, photographs and films are more powerful ways of exchanging ideas and thoughts because they are more accessible. In the written content several barriers such as languages and literacy rates play a major role, which prevent it from reaching to more individuals, whereas, visual content can be understood by uneducated ones too. For instance, most airline companies show short documentary about safety rules, before allowing passengers to board flights because every one can understand the messages by visual ways.
Secondly, graphical information faciliates communication. In writting some times it is hard to share messages because all situations and emotions cannot be described in words, while by films producers can easily describe situations. For example, a person can easily understand the story of Harry Potter by watching films instead of its books. Therefore, it becomes easy to convey messages by visual ways.
However, one part of society may think written content is more effective than visual ones because it is cheaper to produce books than films. Books contain a huge amount of information, and if writers want to create visual version of information , it takes lots effort such as time and money. Thus, written words are better way of communication becaues they are easy to produce and share excessive amount of information.
In conclusion, although written content is easy to produce and contain more information, in my opinion, the visual ways are more powerful because they are more accessible and easy to understand.
