In today’s globalized world, there are many improvements in paying system, popularizing the modern way of paying. Some people think that in the future, it can lead to disappearing of cash in shopes, as individuals will prefer debit cards and cell phones instead. In my opinion, this problem might appear one day due to the convenience of online paying. However, people might not like this transformation, because they do not trust their money for cards and phones.
Nowadays, credit cards are very convenient, so it can cause the disappearance of cash. While doing a huge purchases, people do not need to carry with them many cash, as all their money can be transferred to the debit card instead of traditional way of paying. For example, if you need to buy a car, you can’t do the purchase by cash, cause it’s very problematic to do. But with the debit card, you can pay the full cost of the vehicle in short period of time. Moreover, by cell phones people can send money to others no matter how far is the distance. Thus, debit cards and cell phones are able to replace traditional way of paying in the future.
However, for some people, especially for elderly people absence of cash in stores might be a big problem. In other words, people who are older than fifty might not like this change, because they can’t fully adapt to the new way of paying. For instance, as it mentioned in many studies, older people can not learn how to use modern technologies and too much popularizing of the online paying is the problem for them. Also, too much relying on paying by credit cards and cell phones can increase the number of debt. So, for some people disappearing of cash in stores might be an issue.
In conclusion, debit cards and online paying might replace the traditional way of paying in the near future, due to their convenience. However, for elderly it can be a problem, because they hardly adapt to the modern paying.
