In recent times, the trend of acquiring knowledge through internet instead of books is a global phenomenon with both advantages and disadvantages. While it offers benefits for individuals, it also presents unique challenges. I believe a balanced approach is needed to maximize the benefits of each medium.
On the one hand, the speed and accessibility that internet offers makes it more appealing to students. For instance, you can know about anything by an internet connection and a quick search. Additionally, it is cost effective and free to reach different sources like articles, journals, websites that internet presents to users therefore it is easier to look for information on the internet than to go physically search for books.
On the other hand, books give knowledge without any other distractions. Also not everyone may have the accessibility to internet. For example, books provide information without advertisements or another distractions that internet environment offer leading to more effective studying for students. Moreover, some citizens may live in places that lack internet connection or not have the device needed to use internet for acquiring knowledge.
Furthermore, while the shift of gaining knowledge through the internet instead of traditionally books presents unique challenges such as distractions and lack of accessibility, I believe the advantages that it offers like fast access to any information and the cost effectiveness of it outweigh the disadvantages.
Ultimately, a collaborative approach that leverages both books and the internet can optimize the educational growth of individuals for the betterment of society.
