In today’s digital age, everyone has a different view about an ideal place to live. Many people choose to live in a house, while others point to a view that living in an apartment has more benefits. Staying in a house has both advantages and disadvantages, but in my opinion, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
On the one hand, living in a house has some disadvantages worth considering. First, the cost of buying a house is usually higher than that of an apartment; along with that, maintenance and repair costs are also expensive and must be self-managed. Regarding security, ground-level houses do not have a professional security system like apartments; therefore, it can be easier for thieves to break in. Moreover, ground-level houses are often far from some utilities like schools, hospitals, and supermarkets, especially in suburban areas. Cleaning also takes more effort due to the large area, and many items need care. Finally, although a house holds its value well over a long period, it is hard to sell it immediately when you need money.
On the other hand, living in a house brings plenty of benefits. To begin, a house often brings you a large space to satisfy all your needs. The large size and number of rooms allow you to arrange more space for recreational activities, work, and study. Additionally, a factor worth considering is privacy; you will not be affected by neighbors like in an apartment. Moreover, you can design your own house without asking permission from the management. Furthermore, when you buy a house, it is yours forever, with no time limit like some types of apartments. Many people consider a big advantage of living in a house to be that they can decorate the surrounding area beautifully. For example, they can plant flowers, make a playground, or even build a swimming pool. Finally, a house’s value usually increases over time, especially in big cities like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. So, this is a sustainable investment.
In conclusion, while living in a house may have some negative aspects, I believe they are outweighed by the more significant positive aspects.
