Among the most heated debates that come into prominence nowadays is the controversy revolving around governmental strategy used that can be attributed to achieve balanced economic growth. In this regard, there are some who assert that priority should be allowed to educational, health or transportation services are worthy of attention .Whereas their opponents insist on the fact that there are other fields that are worth of consideration . Although I can empathize with both views I am rather inclined to side with those who believe that governments should invest first in basic public services .My standpoint will be elucidated after shedding light on reasons behind taking such position.
On the merit side, the main argument that is summoned to bear on importance of prioritizing public services consists in considering them as vital services .As a matter of fact, they ensure society’s growth and survival proves to be advantageous in terms of affecting the entire community as …they impact efficiently individual’s safety and security. In other words if we take into account the example of healthcare services , the advantageous dimension of maintaining quality care seems to be worthy of consideration as medical staff is our protectors in epidemics and pandemics .
Yet, despite these beneficial aspects, the downsides of privileging financial resources to public services are too glaring to be overlooked. As a matter of fact, needless to say that taking such pivotal decision is likely to harness some negative aspects, chief among which is excluding services that tend to be destroyed on the long run. For instance, the downside here lies in the fact that excluding investment in crucial area seem to damage quality life .To illustrate this rationale with clearer and more plausible examples the case of scientific research can be mentioned.
On balance with both pros and cons taken into account maybe the safest stance to take in this regard is to assert that a variety of investments in all areas are involved .Indeed, I feel lean towards saying that it will be the key figure to attend a considerable economic development .
