In today’s world everyone uses vehicles as a form of transportation. These vehicles use fuels such as petrol, diesel and CNG to run. Petrol is one of the most consumed fuels used in the world daily. By slow increasing the price of petrol it is the best way we that we can solve the problems such as pollution and growing traffic. I do agree with this method and will suggest the other measures that we can do that can be effective.
As there is a steady increase of private vehicles on the roads, petrol is the main majority that these vehicles. Though petrol cost more than other traditional fuels such as deisel and kerosene it is preferred by the public. Although petrol burns much cleaner, it’s high usage daily releases more pollution than the other fuels combined daily.
In recent times, countries like Germany, United Kingdom and United States of America are encouraging their citizens to use more public transport, car pooling, walking and cycling. In addition, to promote the use and purchase of electric or hybrid cars governments are providing subsides, discounts and grants on the purchase of such vehicles. This can be a very effective way to reduce pollution and environmental damage. Increasing the price of fuel like petrol may deter people from buying petrol driven cars and switch to alternate green options.
In conclusion, I completely agree that increasing the price of petrol can help us solve the problem of growing traffic and pollution. This can lead to less pollution, help the environment and the citizens of the country will be more healthy.
