It is argued that there will not be any results when citizens make efforts to reduce air pollution and only governments are responsible for this work. I personally disagree with this idea.
On the one hand, there are two reasons why people think this is the responsibility of local governments. Firstly, they can impose heavy punishments such as doing unpaid work or fines and so on. This is because they have power to punish citizens who do not comply with the laws or pollute the air environment in order to increase their awareness . Secondly , local rulers should invest in installing renewable energy such as wind, solar and tidal energy and air treatment systems. As a result, the quality of air can improve a lot through these technologies.
On the other hand, there are two factors why citizens also play a significant role in reducing air pollution. The first is their awareness. This is because the air may still be polluted despite numerous efforts by their state. Therefore, they should do some activities to contribute to protecting the environment including doing 3S, afforestation and others. Secondly, individuals should change their habits of using personal vehicles. For example, when the process of building Cat Linh station was finished, a remarkable number of residents went there to experience and go to work to reduce emissions from personal vehicles dramatically according to various reports.
In conclusion, although the role of local rulers is crucial, people should join hand in reducing air pollution so the air can be more fresh and cool quickly.
