It is argued that international tourism has a more profound detrimental impact than its benefits. I completely agree with this statement because it poses a serious threat to wildlife and contribute to spread contagious diseases.
There are many significant reasons why international tourism should be curtailed. One possible reason is that flora and fauna can be extinction. When foreign visitors tend to explore tourist destinations, the animals of host countries are likely to encounter dangerous situations. Due to the increasing influx of people, the dishonest people want to cut down many trees for constructing modern facilities to captivate to visitors. As a result, wild and local animals are displaced of their natural habitats which have a harmful effect on biodiversity. For instance, Sajek Valley is a famous tourist spot in Bangladesh and it renowned for staying wild animals. A lot of people engage with illegal deforestation so that they can build shops, luxurious hotels and summing pools with attracting international tourists and aspirating a massive amount.
Another reason is that it increases a variety of communicable disorders. Occasionally, some visitors prefer to explore other countries visiting spot for relaxation or consulting physiologists. While they experience visiting these spots, they may facilitate the spread of diseases by wind or other ways. It can create a highly vulnerable situation for those countries. Consequently, local people of host countries’ may not only suffer from many contagious diseases gradually but also face financial hardships for taking service public funds.
In conclusion, although international tourism has some benefits, I firmly believe that the demerits outweigh the merits. It can harm a country by contributing to the spread of diseases and the loss of ecosystems.
