A massive population growth in any country creates problems considering the economical and social factors, here we are specifically targeting the elderly people which I highly condemn isn’t a problem at all instead I think having ageing population breakthroughs a lot of disadvantages specially in these modern times.
Having a high number of elderly people may link to the cause of health risks such as government have to have more aid In hospitals in order to facilitate them as people in this age usually suffer through a number of diseases such as natural calamities or health risks such as cardiovascular diseases, heart attacks, dementia, Alzheimer’s etc, which in turn not only adds to the extra expenditures of hospitals but also people abandon their elders in foster homes which in return promotes loneliness, depression, anxiety related issues in them and they’re left with no one to turn to, early retirements also adds to the cause which can lead to economic crisis.
In my opinion these are only the worldly problems, the truth is having elderly people in this era is not only a significant blessing but also, more like a necessity. They light up our lives by their existence and the stories of their lives are actually a lesson for us to cherish and learn from. They are pure hearted people who can actually turn this world to a happy place and promote peace and happiness, these people are actually role models for all other generations to come and specially for the adolescents of this era we are currently living in, whose powerful words and love can bring peace and harmony to our hearts.
I believe, we should help the elderly people as a whole by giving them a platform where they could stay engaged with the younger people around us so their hearts stay alive and they remain happy, we can also contribute to creating platforms for them where they can make use of their skills and can keep polishing and using them so they don’t feel lethargic or of no use. We should respect the fact that the world needs them more then anyone else so the government itself should make efforts in providing them with a hassle-free life and provide them with the best aid at hospitals, to creating the best space for them to feel free and secured just like every other individual deserves Afterall we live in a democratic world where justice should be prevailed regardless of age, gender or population count.
