Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the contemporary world, it is debatable that using socialization platforms shows their impacts on teenagers’ cognitive health and well-being in good or detrimental way. In my opinion, its repercussions such as deviation form education and lost of identity prevents it to be good influence.

Firstly, excessive usage of social media may deviate teens from education. To be precise, such platforms has a power to make you addicted. The more you spend time with it, the more you become obsessed. As teenagers need to study for the their future, conversely, they waist their time on it resulting in falling behind in their studies. Moreover, while socializing, they could get to know new people who would have malicious intention that want to take advantage of teens. As unexperienced individuals , they may fall into their trap that will bring about several difficulties to their life.

Secondly, social media may fasten the globalization process. To elaborate, it give access to any part of the world, as a result, everyone share their thoughts, tastes, and lifestyle. While the time goes by, people may get influence from each other and start to act, think, dress similarly. If the teen expose to it at an early age, their mindset will form due to this factors. The real moral values of their tradition and culture will be lost, teenagers will not understand the core of being part of their communities. This may result in national degradation of cultures, if it is not controlled.

To conclude, social media is a good place to be more social while exploring the world. However, it comes with its ramifications on the teenagers’ overall well-being. Therefore, all these aspects do not make it positive development.
