Music has its origins in human history. We can see examples of this in the cave paintings of the earlier people. It is also known the humans were tribal culture even before they evolved to the current human species. Tribal culture has come with many social evolutions. So we need music because it is an evolutionary imperative. Therefore the definition of international music is inevitable. Also traditional music is often marketed for commercial reasons or exists out of admiration for other traditional music. Therefore it is difficult to find deep cultural traces.
If we discuss why traditional music is more important than the international music heard everywhere, there are many underlying reasons. First and foremost historical depth. Traditional music has cultural and historical elements that have been accumulated over thousands of years giving insight into both the depth of the music and the history of the civilization. Let inspect the European and Ottomans music for example. Even though music in the dark ages of Europe was almost completely controlled by the church and it gives us information about the atmosphere of that period. It can also tell us about the influence of one culture on another. The well-known virtuoso pianist and composer Mozart’s Rondo Alla Turca was inspired by the music of the most powerful empire of the time. Also the Ottoman Empire was a formidable power and terrorized all of Europe and the music of this culture was admired around the world. Can we say the same for international music? Traditional music is also an attractive aspect of the country.
If we summarize international music only emphasizes what is popular and cannot show the deepness. Traditional music is more important both for the better quality of music it offers and for helping us understand the past. Music is a communication way that comes from our evolution so always stay with music.
