In line with a shift in time, due to the modern technology, online education is becoming one of the common trends. There is an ongoing debate about whether online learning is widespread type of education or not. From my way of thinking, online education has positive impact on learners. In this essay, both aspects of this issue will be elaborated.
To start with, there are a good many logical reasons which support this idea of online learning. The most outstanding advantage is flexible schedule. To be more detailed, online learners can unite education with their job. As a consequence, online education provides an education on their sphere and job experience, simultaneously. Another distinguishing merit is saving on transportation. To be more specific, people can be educated, even if they live in rural areas and students no need to commute. For instance, offline learners who live in rural areas spend half of their budget to transport.
From another angle, offline learning also brings benefits. First and foremost, students do not be distracted by electronic gadgets. In other words, many students face distractions from education due to the technology and social media. For example, notifications on a smartphone often serve as a distraction. Secondly, offline learning reinforces team work. Looking deeply, students during team work share their ideas and become more creative. Thus, students can enhance problem-solving and better decision-making.
To put it in a nutshell, while online learning divert students, it greatly offers comfort zone and flexible schedule. Therefore, in my opinion, the advantage of inline learning outweigh the disadvantage in our modern world.
