In today’s world, there is an ongoing debate about traveling to other different locations. While many people believe that traveling to various places plays a significant role in enriching our knowledge about culture, customs or other things as well, others totally think that it is a good idea to acquire something from the lens of photographers or films of directors. From my perspective, I totally agree with the first viewpoint due to two main compelling reasons below.
First and foremost, having hands-on experience from reality may give individuals more practical knowledge compared to reading from books or on the Internet. In fact, when people pay a visit to a specific place, they will be likely to have face-to-face interactions with local residents who can share more profound and precise information about customs or cultural backgrounds of that place. Khanh Vy is a good example of this case, once shared that she made lots of great videos about Da Nang’s cuisine thanks to going travelling to Da Nang and directly enjoying special food there, enabling her to gain real and more exact experience into specialties there.
Another notable reason is their better authentic feelings. As a matter of fact, having online experience may not give people a sense of complete satisfaction and contentment as a reality which does not allow them to enjoy the natural beauty of a place to the fullest. Furthermore, individuals also cannot experience true emotions when they do not have a chance to observe something in person. For instance, visiting HCM Mausoleum may let people witness first-hand HCM ‘s temple and mausoleum that make young people pay more tribute and express wonderful appreciation to Uncle Ho.
In conclusion, due to its real feelings and practicality, I firmly believe that traveling to other places is way too helpful and useful for humans to broaden their horizons and go through various true emotions instead of keeping their eyes glued to the books or screen of digital devices to know.
